Carved out of a Carolina pine forest, the official course of the Tar Heels is a fun play for everyone. Originally a 1949 George Cobb design funded by Raleigh businessman Albert Finley, Tom Fazio completely remodeled the course in 1999. Challenging, but with wide fairways, it’s a meandering course, full of wildlife and lacking houses. Kept in excellent condition, it is one of the best public courses in North Carolina.
