If you ever dreamed of going to Space Camp as a kid, but never made it, you can visit the U.S. Space & Rocket Center as an adult. No, it’s not the same- you don’t get to miss school- but there are a lot of interesting space artifacts and interactive experiences.
Even for those who aren’t space obsessed, the U.S. Space & Rocket Center is an interesting stop. It is filled with very large, historic artifacts, including a Saturn V rocket (one of only three in the world), and replicas, including the Apollo 11 landing site.
There is also a collection of other aircraft, including a T-38 supersonic jet used in astronaut training and a Boeing CH-47D Chinook helicopter. If that isn’t enough, the museum is staffed with NASA scientists, who are ready to answer any technical questions you may have.
