The Winery at Bull Run certainly has its fans; however, I am not one. Although not without its attributes, it has a very corporate feel, and comes off as the equivalent of fast casual dining, or a wedding mill.
While they have a system for assigning tables at their vast property, it doesn’t work well. After hiking back to our assigned table, it was occupied- which required a lengthy walk back to the entrance. Also, lines for wine were long, and not everyone was masked. Wine options were limited, and those behind the counter had no knowledge of their offerings. It felt like stadium service, with mediocre wine served in plastic cups.
Vastly overpriced, this was a one and done venue for us. That said, it is relatively close to the city, adjacent to Manassas National Battlefield Park, and the property contains some interesting stone ruins from an old mansion. They also recreated two types of historic Virginia barns onsite, which are impressive. With all the other options out there, I doubt I would return.
