Prior to living in Canada, I had an extremely limited knowledge of their National Park System. As in, limited to Banff and Jasper- the Canadian equivilant of Yosemite and Yellowstone. I certainly had never heard of The Bruce Peninsula, which may just be one of the most beautiful locations I have ever visited.
Located on the Niagara Enscarpment, the park is part of an UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, and features a variety of ecosystems. The Grotto trail highlights the area’s stunning shoreline, unique geology, and Lake Huron’s crystal clear water. One of the most popular destinations in the park, reservations are required in the summer. While Indian Head Cove and The Grotto itself see crowds, other areas along the 3 mile trail are suprisingly uncongested and peaceful.
