Crimson Lane Vineyards- Linden, VA
Crimson Lane is probably the most stunning winery on the East Coast. It is definitely the most striking I have visited in the Mid Atlantic region. It also limits large parties, doesn't allow animals, and is adult only- so for me, the perfect place to spend an afternoon.

RdV Vineyards- Delaplane, VA
RdV Vineyards is a bit different than many Northern Virginia wineries. It is an intimate experience, which requires reservations, and their tastings feature not just their own wine, but pours from France and Napa.

Bluemont Vineyard- Bluemont, VA
Go to Bluemont for the views and the flatbread. Seriously, the Viognier was fine, but the location is outstanding.
-
Blue Valley Vineyard- Delaplane, VA
The tasting room at Blue Valley feels brand new, despite being open since 2015. Open and airy, with fabulous views of the surrounding countryside, it is a welcoming space, perfect for wine tasting.

Barboursville Vineyards- Barboursville, VA
Barboursville Vineyards is truly in a league of their own. Not only were they among the first wineries established in Virginia, their estate contains ruins of a home designed by Thomas Jefferson. Yes, architecture, history and wine, all found in a stunning setting.
