Jack Pine Trail- Cape Bretton NP
Although common in Canada, this location is the only place along the Cabot Trail to wander through a Jack Pine Forest. Although short, this trail combines a woodland walk, exposed bedrock, dramatic ocean views, and a waterfall. Exceptionally scenic, it brings to mind Tom Thompson landscapes.

Highland Links- Ingonish Beach, NS
Conceived by the Canadian National Park Service in the throes of the Great Depression, Stanley Thompson's 1939 classic links course is still magnificent. Considered an homage to the sport's Scottish roots, the course is perennially listed as one of the Top 10 tracts in Canada.
