Pink Jeep Tour- Sedona, AZ
I tend to avoid tourist activities when I travel, especially ones that identify you as a tourist. So, despite visiting Sedona many times over the years, I never took a Pink Jeep Tour. It seemed silly. Then I did, and realized I had definately been missing out.

L’Auberge de Sedona- Sedona, AZ
L'Auberge de Sedona's property is absolutely magnificent. Located along Oak Creek, it is dappled and drowsy and far cooler than the town located just steps away- a godsend in the summer months.

Skyline Trail- Cape Bretton NP
Skyline Trail is a magnificent 5 mile mostly level loop, with stunning views of the Gulf of St. Lawrence, The Cabot Trail and the dramatic Cape Bretton coastline. One of the most popular hikes in the park, expect a crowd, limited wildlife, and a full parking lot during the park's high season (July-August).

Middle Head Trail- Cape Bretton NP
Just past Keltic Lodge's historic cottages, a short 2 mile trail traverses the spectacularly scenic Middle Head Peninsula. Running the length of the rocky promontory, the trail ends at a peaceful clifftop clearing with views of Cape Smokey, Ingonish Island and the vast expanse of the Atlantic Ocean.

Highland Links- Ingonish Beach, NS
Conceived by the Canadian National Park Service in the throes of the Great Depression, Stanley Thompson's 1939 classic links course is still magnificent. Considered an homage to the sport's Scottish roots, the course is perennially listed as one of the Top 10 tracts in Canada.
