Chatham Bars Inn- Chatham, MA
Chatham Bars Inn personifies Old Cape Cod, or at least how I picture it. A stately shingled hotel, looking out over the water. A large grassy lawn, where late afternoon cocktails are consumed. A collection of cottages above windswept dunes. And, of course, a serene white sand beach.

Waverly Oaks Golf Club- Plymouth, MA
Waverly Oaks is a fantastic course, that due to proximity, is frequently overshadowed by The Pinehills complex. However, the slightly older 1998 Brian Silva design, which was the first upscale daily fee option in the area, is still an enjoyable experience.

Pinehills Golf Club: Jones Course- Plymouth, MA
The 2001 Rees Jones course at Pinehills is often considered the best public golf course in Massachusetts. Slightly older and harder than the club's Nicklaus design, it is every bit as enjoyable.

Rye Tavern- Plymouth, MA
Located on a dusty dirt road that feels far more rural than it is, the Rye Tavern has been welcoming travelers since 1792. Once a stagecoach stop on Old Sandwich Road known as The Cornish Tavern, it was one of the more popular taverns of its time, attracting historic notables such as John Adams, who rode out a storm there in 1794.

Boston Athenaeum- Boston, MA
The Boston Athenaeum is a magical place for library lovers. A fabulous urban oasis of architecture, art, antiques and of course books, it is the perfect place to spend a frigid winter day.
