Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North- Scottsdale, AZ
Just like golf courses, there are no shortages of hotels and resorts in Scottsdale. With so many options, staying at them all would be an impossible task, but I'm determined to give it a try (omitting those with waterparks of course). I do give preference to those with golf courses to make things easy, which led to me to the Four Seasons Troon North. It did not disappoint.

Inn at Cobble Beach- Kemble, ON
Constructed in 2007 as part of a golf course community, the Inn at Cobble Beach features just ten rooms. This results in an intimate feel, like staying the weekend at a friend's waterfront estate.

Texican Court- Irving, TX
There aren't many boutique hotel choices in Irving, Texas. The Dallas suburb is all quite new and planned, so don't expect any historic options either. But they do have the Texican Court- a vintage inspired motel, which is close enough.

Ritz Carlton- Denver, CO
Full disclosure- this was a points redemption stay. Chain hotels aren't usually my thing, and this stay reminded me why. The hotel is fine- it will get the job done, but in a very bland way. Life is too short for bland.

Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort- Cambridge, MD
I will preface this post by admitting we are not this resort's target audience. I could tell from the reviews and hotel website that the property was more geared toward families and children, but thought during the shoulder season it might be fun for a weekend getaway. Don't make that mistake. This is not the location for a couples escape.
