    When visiting Annapolis, you really should stay in a period appropriate hotel. Fortunately, there are several in the historic district that are in walking distance of everything. Conveniently, three are operated by the same entity, Historic Inns of Annapolis; although all of their properties are lovely, for those that prefer a full service hotel, look no further than The Maryland Inn. Located on a wedge of land at the top of Main Street, portions of the hotel date back to 1776.
