Grey Towers NHS- Mildford, PA
Travelling via Interstate 84 to Massachusetts from Ohio became a regular event for me in 2020 and 2021. That route introduced me to the Poconos, the magnificent Settler's Inn, and a grand Gilded Age mansion called Grey Towers, for which I will be forever grateful.

Cleveland Botanical Garden- Cleveland, OH

Cleveland Cultural Gardens- Cleveland, OH
Cleveland is a city full of surprises. Known for its industrial past, I was shocked to find so many historic greenspaces scattered throughout the city. Among the most magnificent are the Cleveland Cultural Gardens, a group of 33 distinct spaces, commemorating the many ethnic groups found in the city.

Arizona Inn- Tucson, AZ
Opened in 1930 by Isabella Greenway, Arizona’s first United States congresswoman, the Arizona Inn is the architectural equivalent of sunshine. For certain, in the depths of winter, it is an absolute pleasure to bask in its glow. Consisting of a series of casitas set amid lushly landscaped grounds, it is as if you have entered the Garden of Eden, sans snakes.
