Kimpton Schofield- Cleveland, OH
Kimpton Schofield really isn't a historic hotel. It wasn't a hotel at all until pretty recently, which the interior of the building makes patently obvious. It is however an interesting example of the restoration of a historic façade.

Hilton Cleveland Downtown- Cleveland, OH
I admit, it is very out of character for me to stay at a Hilton, unless it is one of their historic properties, or part of their Curio Collection. That said, a lake front hotel has its appeal, especially one with a roof top lounge.

Cleveland Botanical Garden- Cleveland, OH
Dating to 1930, the Cleveland Botanical Garden is one of the oldest in the United States. Although originally located in a converted boathouse on Wade Park Lagoon, it moved to the former site of the Cleveland Zoo in 1966. Apparently, the former bear pit still exists in the site, if you know where to look.

The Glidden House- Cleveland, OH
For an area with a lot going on, Cleveland's University Circle is largely a hotel desert. Fortunately, The Glidden House, in all its baronial glory offers at least one option, provided you stay in the original mansion.

Marble Room- Cleveland, OH
Cleveland's Marble Room is the first restaurant I have ever featured. It is that impressive. By far one of my favorite restaurants EVER based on their sous vide Old Fashioneds and Fish-n-Chips sushi rolls alone, the architecture elevates the experience even further.
