While there are many options for wineries in Prince Edward County, Old Third should be on your short list. Not only do they have a fabulous Pinot Noir and a tasting room housed in a restored century old barn, they have pasta. Really, really good pasta.
The vineyard itself is located on a steep south-south-east slope, with Hillier clay loam overlaying an ancient limestone bed- the perfect terrior for Pinot Noir. Their slightly younger rustic barn is also the perfect place to enjoy their Pinot Noir. As a bonus, they also offer a small selection of fantatic pasta dishes that pair well with their wines, including Bolognese and Cacio e Pepe.
