Mill Creek Golf Course: South- Youngstown, OH

I usually am not a fan of parkland style golf courses, mostly because of the constant threat from errant golf balls. That said, I love both of Mill Creek’s Golf Courses, set within the magnificent park of the same name.

Designed by Donald Ross in 1932, the South Course is a historical treasure. Nearly a century later, the course meanders through now mature woods, which are significant enough to provide protection from even the worst golfers. Kept in fabulous condition, it is considered one of the best municipal courses in the country. You certainly will be hard pressed to find a better value anywhere in the United States.

The course’s original 1929 fieldhouse has been recently renovated as well, and now features a full service restaurant and porch rockers for your post round relaxation.
