Links at Perry Cabin- St. Michaels, MD

Despite its name, the Links at Perry Cabin is not a links course. There are far too many trees, and not enough sand or gorse. Not to mention the lack of water views. It is, however, a beautiful course designed by Pete, Alice and PB Dye, with several memorable holes.

It was, in fact, Pete Dye’s last course he designed before his death, which was really a redesign of an Andy Dye course that opened in 1971. First known as Martingham Golf Course, then later Harbourtowne, the Dyes completely reconfigured the track, resulting in the today’s Links at Perry Cabin. You won’t find much elevation change here, consistent with its river adjacent location, but you will find a lot of character, and several distinct Dye holes, including 17, an island green.

Although private, the course is available to guests of the Inn at Perry Cabin– which is just one of the many reasons you should book at stay at the riverfront resort. Greens fees are a bit steep, keeping in line with everything Perry Cabin, but the excellent conditions and pace of play make it well worth the splurge.
