L’Auberge de Sedona’s property is absolutely magnificent. Located along Oak Creek, it is dappled and drowsy and far cooler than the town located just steps away- a godsend in the summer months.
Although the resort bills itself as a luxury propery, in both advertising and price, expect an almost rustic experience. Further, the food program is lacking, the pool underwhelming and my massage mediocre- but I would still return. The location is THAT impressive: few spots are lovelier than their creekside beach, and the red rock views from their terrace are absolutely breathtaking.
Although the cabins could use updating, they were comfortable. So, while there is definitely room for improvement, it is such a special place, its easy to dismiss the resort’s shortcomings. Now, if they would only address them, this place would be perfect.
