Halfway Log Dump- Bruce Peninsula National Park, ON

The Grotto may be the most popular park area in Tobermory, but the humerously named Halfway Log Dump (a timber reference) is the most scenic. Winding through the woods, the trail leads to a wide cobbled beach, beyond which lies a stunning stretch of Georgian Bay coastline. 

The trail also joins with the 550 mile Bruce Trail, making it possible to hike to the Grotto area, if you have several hours. If not, a shorter hike will lead to stunning views of Cave Point, and the turquoise waters of Lake Huron.
