Eagles Nest Golf Club- Maple, ON
/
Eagles Nest is by far the best public golf option in the greater Toronto area. Designed by Doug Carrick in 2004, it’s comparable to the Heathlands Course at TPC Osprey Valley, but quite a bit closer to the city. Built on the site of a former gravel and sand quarry, the course plays like a true links style course, with towering dunes, vast waste areas and numerous pot bunkers.
Although construction marred a few holes in 2023, all around it’s a beautiful course, with views of the Toronto skyline from several holes. Despite being a short drive from the city, the feel is very rural, without homes along the fairways. Unquestionably pricey, the course is well worth it- just skip the pub, there are better food options in the area.
