Cabot Cape Breton- Inverness, NS

The Cliff Homes at Cabot Cape Breton are very Scandinavian. They are stark and minimalistic, and suit the rugged property perfectly.

They were also mostly not finished when we visited, so the area was a bit of a construction zone, devoid of other guests. Also, despite the description, most Cliff Homes do not have an ocean view, and require a shuttle to the main resort property. That said, they are adjacent to the Cliffs Course, the Trackman Range, and the Cliff Couches.

The rooms themselves were comfortable and brand new, so in pristine condition. The view from our back deck was lovely, but actual ocean views were distant, and behind buildings. Golf course views were limited to the range.

If I returned, I would probably stay at The Lodge, for its direct ocean and golf views, and its proximity to the restaurant and lounge (which were both outstanding). Sunsets from both Panorama Restaurant and Cabot Bar are absolutely unforgettable- as was the golf, of course.
