Olivia’s Bridge Street Inn is a B&B for people who don’t like B&Bs. Set in a charming historic home, service here is warm, but not overbearing. For those who dread a chaperoned stay, but prefer the intimate feel of a smaller hotel, this is your place.
Conveniently located in the heart of downtown New Hope, next to the Delaware Canal, the Bridge Street Inn combines an 1817 Colonial style house with a 2010 addition, for a total of 8 guest rooms. The new portion, which complements the original, houses the kitchen, lobby, and larger bedrooms, while the original contains the library, dining room, and smaller bedrooms.
The Lambert Room, located in the original portion of the house, may be small in size but is filled with character, including original floors and fireplace. For those feeling cramped, just steps down the hall is access to a large roof deck, the perfect place to enjoy a drink, and watch the bustle below. In case of cold or rainy weather, the library acts as an indoor social space, and includes a complementary bar for guests.
An all around comfortable, relaxing retreat, it has all the benefits of a traditional B&B, without the pressure to engage with the host.
