Thankfully, Kingston, ON has no shortage of historic inns, because it has no shortage of visitors who want to stay in them. While the Rosemount Inn was not my first choice, it turned out to be a beautiful property, in a lovely historic neighborhood, which worked well for our stay.

1000 Islands Helicopter Tours- Gananoque, ON
Despite the name, there are actually 1864 islands in the Thousand Islands archipelago, some American, some Canadian. Spread over 50 miles in the Saint Lawrence River, the best way to see them all is by helicopter.

Mono Cliffs Provincial Park- Shelburne, ON
While beauiful all year long, Mono Cliffs is downright magical in the fall. Featuring several trails across 1800 acres, many come for the dramatic cliff faces found in the area. While impressive, the geology is overshadowed in October, when the woods are transformed into a vibrant and vivid wonderland.
